Honolulu officials said temporary, first-aid pavement repairs will continue on a stretch of Kapiolani Boulevard for the next two weeks.

The Ewa-bound lanes of Kapiolani Boulevard between Keeaumoku Street and Ward Avenue will be affected by the resurfacing work from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes while crews are working.

The repairs are expected to be completed by May 24, weather permitting.

Special duty police officers will be monitoring the work site to assist with traffic control.
