The Silverswords have upset several major conference powers in the tournament, most recently when they defeated California in 2017.

The 2019 tournament runs Nov. 25-27 at the Lahaina Civic Center. The opening games include Georgia vs. Dayton, Virginia Tech vs. Michigan State, Chaminade vs. Kansas and BYU vs. UCLA.

The third meet of the season, hosted by Lahainaluna and Maui Preparatory Academy, starts at 8 a.m.

The Maui High School boys, the state’s defending Division I champions, and the Seabury Hall girls remain unbeaten through the first two meets of the season.
