Morning obstructions block Oahu roadways

Obstructions forced the closure of three roadways on Oahu this morning although two have been cleared.

Police reopened Kamehameha Highway in Kalihi after a downed utility pole forced its closure for about four hours.

The highway by Oahu Community Correctional Center was closed around 2 a.m. due to low-hanging wires and a utility pole blocking the roadway.

In Kaimuki, Ocean View Drive was closed between Kaimuki Avenue and Maunaloa Avenue around 5 a.m. due to downed trees and a power line blocking the road.

Around 7 a.m., a fallen tree was reported to have closed off the 3600 block of Tantalus Drive in both directions due to a fallen tree. However, the road was reopened around 10:30 a.m. after the tree was cleared.

No serious injuries were immediately reported in any of the incidents.
