HPD opens investigation into Waipahu barbershop robbery

Honolulu police have opened an investigation in connection with an armed robbery at a barbershop in Waipahu.

The robbery occurred at Da Kinez Barbershop located on Farrington Highway across from St. Joseph Church at about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said an unknown suspect entered the establishment, brandished a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect fled the scene with money taken from the barbershop. No injuries were reported.

Police have not made any arrests at this time.
