The University of Hawaii basketball team used its inside game and dominant second half to power to an 83-50 victory over Hawaii Pacific in the SimpliFi Arena.

Mate Colina, the tallest player at 7 feet, scored a career-high 17 points on a variety of hooks, reverses and short jumpers. James Jean-Marie, a junior-college transfer, led the way with 21 points. In one sequence, Jean-Marie scored on a standing reverse layup, and then buried a 3 from the top of the key.

The Rainbow Warriors, who led 30-25 at the intermission, outscored the Sharks, 53-25 in the second half. The Rainbow Warriors hit six of nine 3s in the second half after missing all nine treys in the first 20 minutes.
