Moped driver seriously injured in Moanalua Freeway crash
A man in his 40s was taken to the hospital in serious condition after the moped he was driving was struck by a vehicle on Moanalua Freeway near the King Street offramp this morning, according to Emergency Medical Services.
The crash happened in the town-bound freeway lanes about 6:45 a.m., according to the HPD Traffic Information website.
Mopeds are illegal to operate on Oahu’s freeways.
No other injuries were reported.
