Baseball ‘Bows lose to Iowa

The University of Hawaii baseball team’s ninth-inning rally fell short in a 7-6 loss to Iowa in today’s opening round of the Dairy Queen Classic in Minnesota.

The ’Bows scored three runs to close to 7-6 in the ninth. With runners on first and second, shortstop Dustin Demeter grounded out to end the game. Demeter finished 3-for-5.

The outcome ended the UH’s three-game winning streak.

The ‘Bows (4-5) play Minnesota on Saturday.
