H-3 lanes reopen as crashes back up traffic on H-1 in Pearl City
All lanes of the H-3 freeway have reopened, according to state transportation officials at about 10 a.m., after a vehicle crash closed the right Honolulu-bound lane in the Harano tunnel earlier this morning.
Vehicles from the collision have been moved to the shoulder, and traffic is slowly clearing.
The crash occurred around 8 a.m., significantly slowing traffic in the area.
The H-1 freeway, meanwhile, is backed up in both directions on the Pearl City viaduct, the state transportation department said in a tweet. Crashes have been reported on the H-1 westbound at the Waipahu offramp (exit 8B) and on H-1 eastbound at the Kaahumanu Street overpass.
Motorists are advised to check traffic conditions before heading out.
No serious injuries have been immediately reported.
