27 Hawaii prison guard recruits graduate, are sworn in
The state Department of Public Safety is welcoming more than two dozen new prison guards into its ranks.
The department says 27 correction officers were sworn in at graduation today. They each finished a nine-week training course that covered professionalism, ethics, crisis intervention and other topics.
The officers are being assigned to prisons and jails across the state. Seven officers are heading to Oahu Community Correctional Center and six are going to Maui Community Correctional Center.

Lets hope they stay honest, at least for a few weeks. Notice how poorly these articles are written? Short, say nothing much, SA is the worst newspaper in the USA. Sad.
Should have been 32. 5 lost their way at Club 939. This is what happens when they are housed at an off site training facility…… Pagoda Hotel. They should look at a National Guard facility for schooling and housing public safety personnel from the outside Islands here for training.
Hopefully they don’t succumb to temptations. Prisoners sit in their cell thinking of all kind of ways to get you on their side.
I hope they don’t succumb to all the drugs and corruption from all the crooks. And then of course they have to pay attention to the prisioners too.
