Mulbury takes over command of U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii
U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii has a new commander.
Col. Douglas Mulbury today took over leadership of the unit that maintains facilities and housing for soldiers and their families in Hawaii.
He succeeds Col. Matthew Margotta, who is moving to Fort Sam Houston in Texas.
Mulberry has served two tours with the 25th Infantry Division, most recently in Iraq, where he was assigned to Multi-National Division North. He’s also been chief of tactics at the U.S. Army Infantry School.
Margotta led U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii for three years starting in July 2007.

He spearheaded the formation of a native Hawaiian advisory council that helps the Army better understand issues important to native Hawaiians.
