Chang, Gambill to meet on Big Isle
Former French Open champion Michael Chang will face former ATP player Jan-Michael Gambill in an exhibition match at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows on the Big Island’s Kohala Coast.
Chang is Mauna Lani’s tennis ambassador and became the youngest player to win a grand slam singles title in 1989 when he won the French Open at 17. Gambill now resides in Kona and was ranked No. 14 in his career and has wins over Roger Federer, Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi.
