Bicyclist injured in unprovoked stabbing in Waikiki

 

Police were looking today for a person who stabbed a bicyclist in an unprovoked incident Wednesday in Waikiki.

The incident happened near Ena Road and Kalakaua Avenue about 3:10 p.m.

According to emergency dispatch reports, a 48-year-old man was riding his bicycle when an unknown person with a four-inch pocketknife stabbed him. The man had to ride his bike about half a mile away to get away from the stabber.

Paramedics took the man to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition with a deep stab wound to his right chest.
