Man found in water off Ala Moana beach is identified
The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 73-year-old man who died Monday after he was found unresponsive in the water off Ala Moana Beach Park as Tai Nam Yim, a Honolulu resident.
The cause of death is pending further tests.
Another swimmer found Yim unresponsive in the water at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Paramedics took him to the hospital in critical condition.
