Santa Monica College cornerback transferring to UH
DeJaun Butler, a swift cornerback from Santa Monica College, told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser he had accepted a football scholarship from the University of Hawaii.
Butler, who is 6 feet and 189 pounds, will sign a national letter of intent on Feb. 4, the first day recruits may put their commitments in writing.
Butler initially committed to Washington the past February. Instead, he returned to Santa Monica to complete work on his associate degree, a requirement to transfer to a Division I team.
Butler said he will join the Warriors in June. He will have two seasons of eligibility with the Warriors.
