The upper reaches of Kuliouou Ridge Trail offer a sweeping view of Hawaii Kai, Koko Crater, Koko Head, Koko Marina and Sandy Beach.

Honolulu Fire Department personnel are making their way to the summit of the Kuliouou Ridge trail, where a group of Boy Scouts reportedly discovered a human body on Saturday evening.

The Scouts, who are on an overnight excursion, contacted HFD around 7:20 p.m.

Sixteen firefighters from five HFD companies responded to the call.

The firefighters met with the Scouts at a shelter along the trail and are expected to reach the summit by 9:45 p.m., according to HFD spokesman Capt. Kevin Mokulehua.
