LAKEWOOD, Colo. » A suburban Denver woman is accused of pimping out her 12-year-old daughter to an Australian man for money to pay bills and a trip to Hawaii.

The 43-year-old Lakewood woman was being held in jail today, charged with human trafficking of a minor, pimping a child and sexual assault on a child.

According to court documents, the daughter told an investigator she met the 23-year-old man through an app where she said you can talk about your issues but not be judged and he invited her to begin talking through FaceTime.

Prosecutors say the woman, her daughter, the Australian man and his mother all took a trip to Hawaii together in January after a brief visit in Colorado. The man also allegedly bought the girl jewelry, a phone, a laptop and clothes.
