Firefighters rescue teenager who fell 30 feet off Moanalua Trail

Firefighters rescued an injured 17-year-old hiker who fell about 30 feet on the Moanalua Trail this morning.

Rescue crews responded to the 10:54 a.m. call and found the injured hiker at about 11:27 a.m., a Fire Department spokesman said in a news release.

Firefighters treated the boy’s injuries and the Fire Department helicopter airlifted him to the Kaneohe District Park, where paramedics took over.
