Police investigate man wanted for 2 thefts from Kailua-Kona store

On June 24, at about 8:20 a.m., a man removed merchandise from a store on the 74-5400 block of Makaala St. On June 26, at about 3:10 p.m., the same man is believed to have removed merchandise from the same store.

Hawaii island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a pair of thefts from a Kailua-Kona store in June.

On June 24, at about 8:20 a.m., a man removed merchandise from a store on the 74-5400 block of Makaala Street. On June 26, at about 3:10 p.m., the same man is believed to have removed merchandise from the same store. The suspect’s images were captured on surveillance video.

Police ask anyone with information about this case or the identity of the man in the photo to call officer Andrew Walters at 326-4646 or the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.
