Attempted murder case opened after man struck by car in Chinatown

Police are looking for a male suspect after he allegedly struck a 41-year-old man with his vehicle in the Chinatown area early today.

At about 1:16 a.m., the two men were arguing before the suspect intentionally struck the victim with his vehicle at South Kukui Street near Pali Longs, police said.

Police said the suspect fled the scene.

The 41-year-old man suffered a possible fracture to one of his legs.

Emergency Medical Services responded and treated his injuries before transporting him to a trauma hospital in serious condition.

Police have initiated an attempted second-degree murder investigation.
