Man arrested for hitting a man with a rock in Waikiki

Honolulu police arrested a 37-year-old man on Friday in connection with an early evening assault in Waikiki.

Police said the suspect is alleged to have used a rock to assault a 24-year-old man causing a small contusion to the victim’s leg. The incident was alleged to have occurred at 5 p.m at the Hawaiian Ebbtide Condos.

The suspect was later arrested on suspicion of second degree assault and taken into custody pending investigation.
