    Hawaii island police contraflowed traffic on Highway 11 in Kau this afternoon because of a serious crash.

Hawaii island police said Highway 11 in Kau has been fully reopened following a crash that closed part of the road for about three hours.

At about 12:45 p.m., police said one lane was open and traffic was being contraflowed between mile markers 82 and 83 near Manuku because of the crash.

Police said all lanes were reopened shortly before 4 p.m.
