Kamehameha Highway closures slow traffic in Kaneohe
Kamehameha Highway was closed in both directions at Waiahole Valley Road this morning after a traffic crash knocked down a utility pole.
As of 10 a.m., traffic was being contra-flowed through the area.
And shortly after noon today, police closed Kamehameha Highway in both directions at Ipuka Road in Heeia. Police reported seeing sparks and flames coming from a utility pole.
Traffic in the area is being rerouted to Imiloa and Ikiiki streets as a Hawaiian Electric Company crew makes repairs.
Motorists are advised to expect delays in both locations.
