2 men seriously injured in stabbings in Palolo Valley

Honolulu police are investigating two early morning stabbings in Palolo Valley.

Police said a 24-year-old man sustained stab wounds to his left ear, left shoulder and left upper torso at about 2:05 a.m. today in the 2100 block of Ahe Street.

Emergency Medical Services personnel treated him and initially took him to a hospital in serious condition. His condition worsened and was downgraded to critical condition.

Police have initiated an attempted murder investigation.

Another stabbing in Palolo occurred just prior to the first stabbing.

EMS took a 25-year-old man to a hospital in serious condition. Police have launched an assault investigation into the stabbing.

Detectives are investigating whether the two stabbings are related. There are no arrests at this time.
