Boy inhales water in lungs at Ko Olina lagoon
A boy under 10 years old inhaled water into his lungs at Ko Olina’s lagoon No. 4 Sunday morning and was breathing and conscious when he was taken to a hospital, Honolulu Fire Capt. Earle Kealoha said.
The boy apparently waded into water over his head and began flailing just before 11 a.m. today, Kealoha said.
Family members had pulled the boy to shore by the time firefighters arrived.
