SALT LAKE CITY » Ride-sharing company Lyft says it has fired a Salt Lake City driver who’s seen on video disparaging Muslims in profanity-laced remarks.

Lyft spokeswoman Alexandra LaManna confirmed to the Salt Lake Tribune Friday that the driver, who the company did not identify, has been terminated.

LaManna says the company does not tolerate discrimination and racism.

Samuel Grenny says he and his girlfriend used Lyft on Wednesday to attend a rally for Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders.

According to Grenny, the male driver began talking about Republican Donald Trump’s candidacy.

In a video Grenny posted on his Facebook page, both he and the driver are heard cursing at each other before the driver makes a derogatory comment about Muslims.

Grenny says he’s happy with Lyft’s response and doesn’t blame the company.

Another brilliant Trump supporter. “I love the poorly educated!” The Republican Party created Trump with their racism and sexism, and now they can’t figure out how to stop their creation. Democrats all across the country are hoping for Trump to be the nominee. He’s going to cause the Senate to switch to Democratic control. Go Trump!

Both are rude to a fault! Should have respected each other views and move on their separate ways! Save face, saved job and peace prevailed throughout it all.
