State keeps Zipper lane open longer this morning

Traffic was backed up this morning on the H-1 freeway eastbound in Waikele.
The Zipper lane was opened for an extra half-hour, until 9:30 a.m., because of heavy town-bound traffic on the H-1 freeway, state Department of Transportation officials said today.
The combination of back-to-school traffic and wet roads clogged many roadways for this morning’s commute.
The Zipper lane normally closes at 9 a.m.
