Police arrested a 36-year-old man early Sunday morning after he lost then tried to retrieve a stolen credit card he had been using.

According to police, the suspect took a taxi to a Waipahu store and purchased several items using a credit card belonging to a 56-year-old man. He attempted to use the card again to buy more items but was denied.

Police said the suspect then used the card to purchase food from an adjoining restaurant. On the way out, he apparently dropped the card.
