EMS responds to 2 near drowning incidents in Waianae
Emergency Medical Services officials responded to two near drowning incidents at Pokai Bay Beach Park Sunday afternoon.
The first incident involved a 9-year-old girl at 12:05 p.m. She accidentally swallowed water, EMS said. The girl was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
The second incident involved a 12-year-old girl at 12:39 p.m in an apparent near drowning, EMS said. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
