The Office of Elections is offering drive-through voter registration Wednesday as well as on Thursday, the final day to register in time for the primary election.

Would-be voters will be able to drive to designated locations and register without leaving their vehicles.  

“Just stay in your car and election officials will be able to assist in registering you to vote,” chief election officer Scott Nago, said in a press release.

Registered voters who have changed their name or moved since the last election should re-register before the voter registration deadline.

Those who wish to register must be U.S. citizens, residents of Hawaii and at least 18 years old.

Here are the drive-through locations:

Hawaii island

>>Kona Kmart, Pahoa Marketplace and Old GMC in Hilo, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

 Kauai

>>County Clerk’s Office, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

 Oahu

>> State Capitol (front of the Capitol facing Beretania St.), 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Registration forms are available at post offices, public libraries, in the Yellow Pages, at most state agencies, at county clerk’s offices, and at the office of Elections website: www.hawaii.gov/elections.

Registration forms must reach city/county clerks by 4:30 p.m., or postmarked by Thursday if mailed.
