Missing work furlough inmate arrested

A 41-year-old Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate, who failed to return from a work furlough on Sept. 15, was recaptured Sunday.

Jerone Batalona, who was serving time for second-degree robbery, failed to return from a furlough pass to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center at 5 p.m. Sept. 15.

He was captured at 8:20 p.m. Sunday at an Ala Wai Boulevard apartment.

He is expected to be charged with second-degree escape.

His next parole hearing was scheduled for March 2016.
