Report of suspicious person prompts Kahuku schools lockdown

The Kahuku public schools complex was placed in lockdown for two hours after a person acting suspiciously was seen in the area.

The Department of Education said the schools affected were Kahuku Elementary, Intermediate and High Schools. The students were kept in their classrooms beginning at 8 a.m. until the lockdown was lifted at 10 a.m.

No suspect was arrested.
