Traffic crash investigation shuts stretch of Kalakaua Avenue
Kalakaua Avenue’s eastbound lanes near Ala Wai Boulevard in Waikiki are closed as police investigate a traffic accident that involved a motorcyclist and a police vehicle.
The motorcyclist, a 37-year-old man, was critically injured in the collision, which occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on Kalaukaua Avenue between John Ena Road and Hobron Lane, police said.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services paramedics transported the motorcyclist in critical condition to a hospital.
