Man, 52, charged in assault case in Haleiwa

Prosecutors charged a 52-year-old man for assaulting a 62-year-old woman today.
Shannon Preece was charged with second-degree assault.
His bail is set for $25,000.
Police said on Feb.17 Preece assaulted the woman, causing a substantial amount of injury.
He was arrested on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Haleiwa on suspicion of second-degree assault and twice for terroristic threatening.
