Kauai police searching for driver in fatal hit-and-run
Kauai police are looking for the driver of a dark-colored pick up truck who hit a pedestrian Saturday night and did not stop.
Around 10:30 p.m. a 48-year-old Wailua man was walking on Kapule Highway when he was struck by the truck, police said.
He was transported to Wilcox Hospital, where he later died.
His identity has not been released yet.
Kapule Highway was closed in both directions from approximately 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. for police to investigate.
