High surf advisory in effect for north, west shores of most isles
A northwest swell is expected to bring high surf to the north and west shores of most islands today.
Weather officials at the National Weather Service posted a high surf advisory this morning for the north and west shores of Kauai County, Oahu, Maui and Molokai.
Forecasters expect waves up to 12 to 15 feet along affected shores. The advisory is in effect through 6 a.m. Thursday.
Beachgoers are advised to heed advice given by lifeguards.
