High surf advisory in effect for south shores
A south swell prompted forecasters to issue a high surf advisory this afternoon, the National Weather Service reported.
The advisory is in effect for south-facing shores of all islands until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Surf of 6 to 8 feet is expected.
A small craft advisory is also in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters expect east to northeast winds of 23 to 34 mph and seas up to 10 feet.
