Hawaii Pacific Health’s COVID-19 Vax Squad Bus mobile vaccine clinic returned to Oahu high schools and will be holding clinics at different high schools, colleges and universities this month.

HPH held a clinic at Kapolei High School’s gym today, where it administered more than 120 shots. The squad bus launched in May, and with the new school year underway for many and increasing demand for COVID-19 vaccines, HPH is bringing the vaccine bus back to high schools and will be making visits to Hawaii Pacific University and Chaminade University.

“It’s important for everyone to get vaccinated to help take care of the vulnerable, the people like myself with medical issues, and the young kids who are not eligible to get vaccinated,” said Ann Marie Medeiros, a Kailua resident in a video released by HPH.

Members of the public and students alike received vaccinations today.

“I hope my friends get it too so we don’t have to worry,” said Nathaniel Pelupelu, a Kapolei High School senior, in the video.

The COVID-19 Vax Squad Bus is scheduled to go to the following schools this month:

>> Kalani High School on Aug. 14

>> Waipahu High School on Aug. 15

>> Aiea High School on Aug. 16

>> Moanalua High School on Aug. 17

>> Hawaii Pacific University on Aug. 18

>> Farrington High School on Aug. 19

>> Chaminade University on Aug. 23

>> Saint Louis School on Aug. 23

>> Radford High School Tuesday on Aug. 24
