Man arrested for allegedly stabbing man near Honolulu Harbor

Police arrested a 49-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed another man near Honolulu Harbor early today.

At about 12:10 a.m., police said the victim, 30, threatened the suspect with a knife at Pier 17. The suspect used another knife and stabbed the victim.

The two men are not known to one another.

Police said he had three puncture wounds. Emergency Medical Services said the victim sustained stab wounds to his ribs and multiple lacerations to his arms and legs.

He was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Police said the 49-year-old man was transported to the hospital for minor lacerations to one of his hands. Upon his release, police arrested him on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
