Sjarif Goldstein is the assistant sports editor at the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. He has worked at the Star-Advertiser since 2010, editing and writing about the things he loves — sports, music, comedy, theater and travel. He has been in the news business since graduating from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1994 and has also worked at the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and the Contra Costa Times in California. The Pearl City High School graduate's work has also appeared in Billboard magazine. He has written no books and won no major awards.
